Over 37% Of Seattle Area Homes Take a Price Drop In Past 30 Days

In King County the number of homes for sale surged up 66% in the past year — and 86 percent just in the city of Seattle — the biggest rise in more than a decade.

Meanwhile, the share of homes with price drops has been posting year-over-year gains consistently since late March. Currently in just the past 30 days, 37.2% of Seattle area homes taken a price drop totaling the largest percentage in more than a decade for this statistic as well.

Note: “We define a price drop as a listing price reduction of more than 1 percent and less than 50 percent.”

After years of strong price growth and intense competition for homes, buyers are taking advantage of the market’s easing pressure by

Chilly Fall mornings mean one thing…COFFEE!! Well, truth be told every morning means coffee but there’s something about someone else making you a delicious cup of hot coffee that makes all seem right in the world. Our favorite go-to coffee stand is Sorrento’s Coffee. The cute little red roof drive-through is on the corner of Jericho and 4th. The staff is always friendly and my coffee is consistently outstanding.

I’m a bit of a coffee snob and if I’m going to go buy a cup I want it to be good. And I don’t want  to spend $6. I’ve never had a bad cup at Sorrento’s. They are speedy, locally owned and they have a punch card system that doesn’t even require me to keep track of the card! Every so often I’m rewarded with a free drink. You know it’s

I started back at school last week with all the darling kid’s at Maywood Middle School and somehow I never managed to get to the grocery store. You don’t even need to go to the grocery because Terra Buelow, owner of HCFM does it all for you and it’s delicious!!

I spent under $50 during her Back to School special and she delivered Cheesy Chicken and Wild Rice Bake, Million Dollar Spaghetti and Homemade Mac n’ Cheese. Last night we cooked the Cheesy Chicken and Wild Rice and everyone had seconds. It’s full of chicken, carrots, celery

Happy September! The mornings are brisk and the leaves are changing color. Even though it’s not officially Fall, it’s Fall. School buses are back on the streets, days are a bit shorter, there’s homework, football games and the kids are asking “What’s for dinner?” This last question is one that leaves me in continuous planning mode with three teenagers in the house. Grocery shopping leaves me exhausted so I choose to plan my meals a week at a time and only go to the store once a week. Every Sunday I sit down with my calendar, scan my favorite whole food cooking blogs and layout a menu for a week. Then I assemble my shopping list and head to my favorite stores. During the week, I also double up on casseroles and make two at a time so one can be frozen
