There are few things I love more than cookies! I could actually eat them for breakfast lunch and dinner. But they have to be reallllllly good cookies. I like to think of myself as a discriminating cooking connoisseur. I'm picky about my indulgences. Pretty things are also at the top of my list of favorites. When you combine delicious cookies + pretty=Cookies by Meesa.
I discovered Meesa Andelin on a Facebook post when I was looking for someone to make a special dessert for my wedding in October. Being a cookie girl I wanted hand-frosted pretty cookies instead of a cake. Meesa was awesome to work with and was full of ideas. These are the cookies she made for our wedding! Aren't they awesome?
For the next few weeks For The Love of Renton will be focusing on all things Holiday Cheer! AND there is nothing more cheerful to me than desserts. While I love to cook I’m a terrible baker so that usually means I’m trying to pick something up at the store that might be halfway decent. In recent months I have stumbled across some amazing women with dessert super powers. With all the Holiday events coming up I wanted to feature some Renton businesses that can solve all your holiday dessert problems.
I absolutely love what I do!! Because I wear multiple hats throughout my day as a mom, real estate broker, lunch lady, wife, friend, daughter, blogger, I get to meet lots of people throughout the week. I love to hear the stories of those I connect with.
Check out the fun events going on in our community! Whether your needing to start your holiday shopping, or looking for family-friendly events the following list has something for everyone. I've added many of these to my calendar all ready. Hope to see you out and about.

KIRKLAND, Washington (November 6, 2018) - Seven months of steadily rising housing inventory reversed course in October when Northwest Multiple Listing Service brokers added the fewest new listings since February, according to a new report. MLS members believe the onset of wintry weather and transition to the holiday season are factors, but suggested the slower pace also signals improving conditions for house-hunters.
"After months of inventory growth that more than quadrupled the number of homes buyers have to choose from, things got back on a seasonal track with new listings and total supply falling in October," said Robert Wasser, a director with Northwest MLS, when comparing those metrics with September.
Fall has been a busy few months. I think there's only one weekend left of raking leaves so as Fall winds down I need to get all the hoses put away and get the outdoor water spigots winterized and ready for freezing weather. Can you believe that we are well into November?
We visited some awesome Renton businesses this Fall. If you are looking for awesome pizza and places to shop check out the list below. Wishing you all a very happy November. Next week kicks off the Holiday Cheer series. We have a fun contest coming up. Stay tuned for more details.

It's the last post in our Back To School series. I maybe should have called it Mom Doesn't Want to Cook series. It is Halloween so that definitely calls for PIZZA! We had heard so many good reviews about Amante Pizza & Pasta we decided to give it a try.
I ordered the Gorgonzola Guru, my personal favorite. Olive oil with gorgonzola cheese, loads of roasted garlic, walnuts, onions and plenty of mozzarella. So delicious! The 10" was plenty big to share with Steve. The kids love a good BBQ Chicken and this one did not disappoint. They are already asking when we are ordering again!
Amante has a huge menu featuring pizza, calzones, hot grinders, pastas, salads, appetizers and desserts. If you don't have time to dine-in they deliver!!! They
