I absolutely love a good story and combine it with a family tradition then it's just too good not to share! I received a contest entry from someone which was followed with a story about why she entered the contest. I hope you enjoy the history of this sign as much as we did!
"Here's a picture of the original "Season Greetings" sign that my grandfather made for his family in the 1940s in Montana. The sign was given to my dad and it was by far the best Christmas decoration we had in Montana. Living on a ranch 5 miles from the closest neighbor, we didn't see a lot of decorations growing up-- but we always had our sign up. When I bought my first townhouse out here in Redmond in 1998, my dad had a replica of the sign made for me.. it is this sign and it hangs with such pride every Christmas and goes with me -- wherever I go. I may not be with my family at the holidays, but we all share the unity of having our special "Season Greetings" sign. I know my Dad, who is up in heaven, enjoys seeing it lit up every year. My brother in AZ has a sign, my aunt in Spokane, an aunt in Lincoln, MT and of course the original sign at our ranch in Montana."
Thank you so much for entering our contest and sharing this awesome story about your family's holiday tradition. Click here to enter our contest today! Judging will take place December 19th and winners will be announced December 20th!
